Bring your own gear if you have the correct gear. Have the deckhand bait you up and set up trolling rigs and use their knowledge, but allow you to take it from there unless your a beginner.

Trolling was best for us, both for size and number of fish. Bottom fishing was a nice break for a little bit to try something different and catch a few trigger fish, but our favorite catches were all trolling.

Just be aware of the sargassum. It’s really bad getting on the boat. But once you’re on the boat they wash your feet and legs off with water. No big deal for my wife and I. The experience was top notch and we caught so many fish

The Boat Sport Fishing and Snorkel
Nuj Kay Marlin Monroe is a fantastic crew with a great captain and boat!! Go for the bigger boat, avoid cheap rates with smaller boats as you’ll pay for it out on the water. Marlin Monroe was perfect for a family of 4, and kids slept down low in the cabin which also made it well worth it.

For deep sea fishing, be prepared that it may take a couple of hours to find the fish, so enjoy the views and the refreshments.
We had some scattered rain, but it didn’t slow us down.
Take Dramamine BEFORE the trip so sickness doesn’t impact you half way through.

Cancun Light Tackle Fly Fish – 18'
Drink lots of water and electrolytes, and bring a big hat! The fishing is great but it’s hot and humid. The Marcangel was clean, organized, safe, and well maintained. The crew was amazing.
